National ICT Internship Programme
FAQ
What
the Qualified candidates should do?
|
Q:1 How the placement is made? |
|
Ans:
Placement of a candidate is made according to
the following steps: |
|
I. At
first, the qualified candidates need to establish contacts with the ICT
companies or Government bodies that require ICT services. ICT companies or
Government bodies may also contact the candidates. However, candidates are
advised to make the first move to contact the organisations, preferably in
person. As a qualified candidate under the National ICT Internship programme
(Batch-8), approach the company to work with them as an Intern for 6 (six)
months. |
|
II.
When a ICT company or a Government body agrees to take a
qualified candidate as Intern, an
Intern
requisition form (available
at BCC website) has to be filled up and duly signed by an authorised person
of the company/organisation. |
|
III.
Submit the Intern Requisition Form to BCC. |
|
IV. BCC processes the Intern
Requisition Form for placement of the Interns. The processing may include
assessment of the company and physical inspection of the company status. |
|
V. Finally,
BCC provides the intern candidate with a Placement Letter. The company/organisation
taking the intern also receives a copy of the placement letter. |
|
Q:2 Which ICT companies to contact? |
|
Ans: Any
ICT company would do, but preferably companies engaged in software
development and ICT-enabled services. However, for convenience ICT companies
who are members of the associations like Bangladesh Association of Software
& Information Services (BASIS) www.basis.org.bd,
Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh www.ispabd.org, and Bangladesh Computer Samity
(BCS) www.bcs.org.bd may be contacted. |
